IKEA Grad Bash Cincinnati 2023

In 2023, IKEA Cincinnati celebrated the graduating class with its Grad Bash — an in-store party for graduates and their families. Creative Soul Studios photographed the event from the welcome table to the last caricature.

About the Event

The IKEA Grad Bash turned the store into a celebration space for new graduates heading to college and their first apartments. Activity stations were spread through the showroom and warehouse, giving graduates and families plenty to do — and IKEA plenty of moments to share on social.

How We Approached the Coverage

Retail events move fast and spread across a big footprint, so we planned coverage around the activity stations and kept moving between them. We photographed every station while it was busy, captured reactions as graduates got their caricatures and finished their projects, and grabbed group photos whenever friends arrived together. We also photographed the branded details and IKEA coworkers so the team had images for social, internal recognition and future community events. The edited gallery was delivered in a private online gallery.
