In 2025, ATSG (Air Transport Services Group) hosted its Charity Golf Classic, and Creative Soul Studios was on the course from the first coffee at the clubhouse to the post-round reception.
About the Event
The ATSG Charity Golf Classic brings together employees, partners and sponsors for a day of golf that raises money for charity. A charity outing has two audiences for its photos: the players who want to see their foursome, and the sponsors who want proof their support was seen.
What We Covered
- Check-in, coffee and breakfast at the clubhouse
- Warm-ups on the driving range
- Every foursome’s team photo on the course
- Sponsor signage — golf cart, beverage cart and hole sponsors
- On-course contests, including the longest drive and a giant golf dartboard challenge
- The Graeter’s ice cream cart, giveaways and the post-round reception
How We Approached the Coverage
A golf outing spreads out fast once the shotgun start sounds, so we planned the day around the course map. We photographed every team at the start, then moved hole to hole by cart to catch swings, celebrations and sponsor signage in good light. Sponsor moments were a priority — every sponsored cart, tent and contest hole was photographed so ATSG could share images with partners after the event. The edited gallery was delivered in a private online gallery, organized for social, sponsor thank-yous and next year’s promotion.

Tips for Photographing a Charity Golf Outing
- Share the pairings sheet so every foursome gets a team photo
- Send a sponsor list with hole assignments so no sponsor is missed
- Plan team photos before the shotgun start, when everyone is together
- Give the photographer a cart and a course map
- Schedule the awards and reception so they can be photographed in the clubhouse
